2. What PrivacyProxy Does
PrivacyProxy is an open-source tool for anonymizing sensitive data in AI prompts. All processing happens locally on your device. No data is sent to our servers.
3. Website (austr.ai)
When you visit this website, your browser transmits technical data (IP address, browser type, timestamp). This data is processed by our hosting provider (Hetzner Online GmbH, Nuremberg, Germany) for the purpose of delivering the website.
We do not use cookies, tracking, or analytics.
4. Live Demo
The live demo on this website sends your anonymized text to the Mistral API (EU-hosted) for processing. Your original text never leaves your browser — only the anonymized version is transmitted. Session data is automatically deleted after 30 minutes.
5. Local Tool (pip install austrai)
The locally installed tool processes all data exclusively on your device. No connection to our servers is established. The only network communication occurs when you send anonymized text to an AI service — and at that point, sensitive data has already been replaced with codenames.
6. Hosting
This website is hosted at Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. Hetzner processes data in accordance with the GDPR and is certified under ISO 27001.
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
Since we do not permanently store personal data, most data subject rights are de facto already fulfilled. You still have the right to:
- Information about your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Lodge a complaint with the data protection authority (dsb.gv.at)
